About MHT-CET Exam

The state board conducts MHT-CET exam every year. This year it was conducted on 5th April 2024. As per the JEE 2024 exam pattern, the exam has 200 questions, of which aspirants had to answer only 180. It includes questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. In the JEE (Mains) exam, 4 marks are given for every correct answer, one mark is deducted for every wrong answer and no marks will be given for any unanswered question. Paper has 2 sections - section A & section B

Course Information

MHT-CET exam is conducted in online mode. Exam Paper is available in English, Marathi and Urdu language. (Mathematics paper will be available in English language only)

MHT-CET exam comprises of 2 papers i.e. Paper 1- Physics and Chemistry & Paper 2- Mathematics.

Each paper is of 90 minutes duration.

Questions asked are Multiple Choice Objective type in nature. The difficulty level will be at par with JEE Main for Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry.

Engineering aspirants are required to appear for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Pharmacy aspirants are required to appear for Physics, Chemistry and Maths/ Biology. (i.e. Pharmacy aspirants may opt for either Maths or Biology)

MHT-CET Exam Marking Scheme

MHT-CET exam is of total 200 marks. There is no negative marking for wrong or unattempt questions.

Paper 1 is of total 100 marks and consists of Physics and Chemistry. Both subjects will have 50 questions each (i.e. Physics + Chemistry – total 100 questions). 1 mark will be allotted for each correct answer.

Paper 2 is of Mathematics with total 50 questions. 2 marks will be allotted for each correct answer. Total marks 100.
